DO I NEED TO BE PAST PROBATION TO GET A MORTGAGE?

Today we tackle the question, "Must I be past probation to get a mortgage?"


The answer is NO, but there are a lot of guidelines around this question.


Example:

Someone is leaving one line of work for a similar but better opportunity. In this situation, we would just need to show their previous job or income.


Situations where this could be an issue?

If you are moving into a completely different industry we may need to see you get past probation. An example of this would be if a plumber were to switch career paths and become a hairstylist.


The common answer is no, you don't need to be past probation.
